I recently upgraded to the new iphone4 from my old iphone3g. I’m in love!!! It’s fast and can multitask like me!! Hubbs surprised me with my new toy on our trip to Kauai. I didn’t think I’d get one since I planned our budget well, but what can i say.. My hubbs can pull strings!

I’d like to share some really cool apps that I use to organize my life. I’ve already shared zenbe – the ultimate checklist maker. Good for times when you just need a checklist on the go. I also have apps for shopping, wishlist making etc. Those will be featured soon.

Today, I’d like to meet my new BFF. Routine. The name says it all. It’s a routine app. A checklist which you can reset at the end of the day/week/year.

It did take some time to load my am/pm routines.. But once it’s set you’re done!

I’ve included a screenshot at the end of this post. I’m still working on my routine, but once that’s set I’ll be one happy camper.

Since I upgraded, I gave my old iPhone 3G to my 6 year old daughter who’s really tech savvy and can use an iPhone/itouch of her own (she can stop killing my battery) I know that 6 years old may be way too soon for a phone, but it’s just an itouch she uses when She’s hear at home using wifi. I’ve loaded Routine to her iPhone so she can follow her morning checklist in place of the clipboard she carries around.

Enjoy!

Project Bathroom July 4, 2009

I’ve been pretty overwhelmed with life lately. Too much Death Drama and Action. I’ve also hit the highest peak weight-wise.

Moving on.. I present Project Bathroom. I got so caught up with the Bedroom.. I’m gonna have to re-“woosaa” before tackling that scary project. I’ve read it millions of times before… START SLOW and WALK AT A SLOW PACE. I agree. So today (tonight) It’s almost 12:30 and I can’t sleep, I’m gonna tackle the smallest room in this house. The Downstairs bathroom.

Supplies and Weapons needed:
*Bathroom caddy – Includes Toilet bowl cleaner (I use Scrubbing bubbles flushables – easy to use, and sanitary!) Paper Towels, Windex Lemon AntiBac All Purpose Spray, Clorox Wipes, sponges and scrubbers, toothbrushes
*Broom
*Vacuum
*Swiffer Wet
*Disinfectant Spray
*Granite Cleaner, Glass Cleaner and Stainless Steel Cleaner
*Candles
*Pandora – TingTings Radio

Here’s my Zenbe list on myiphone. I’ll be syncing as I go thru. Enjoy and wish me LUCK!

Organizing with my IPhone June 4, 2009

I’m hooked to my IPhone. So much I’m afraid it’s taking me away from ‘real’ life. I know. Scary.

I’ve spent a LOT of money buying different apps to help me out with regular daily tasks and I’ve found a few that work really really well.

Here are my faves:

Spend – I use YNAB to organize my finances and budget. I’ve set up SPEND to mirror my YNAB ‘Flexible’ Budget Categories. It works great!

Mint & Rudder – I’m still torn between the two, but consistently check as I go. I like the capabilities of Mint (reporting) but I need the feature of Rudder. I like how you can time bills and have a future forcast of how much money you can play with. No exactly precise as YNAB, but I’m sold.

Zenbe – I love lists. But the problem is, I loose ALL.OF.THEM. I found zenbe to be a perfect solution. My IPhone is stuck to my body, and I’m sure I won’t loose it. I’ve made several lists of different things and they’re easily accessible! I’m currently using Zenbe to Organize our bedroom . When I sync it, you can see my progress here!! How cool is that?!? Oh. It also matches my blog theme =)

Grocery – I don’t think I can go to the grocery ever again without this app. I can enter all that I need (as I need it) and it organizes all the items according to aisle. I didn’t have to go in circles when I went grocery shopping! It cut down my errand time by 30 minutes. I can be really particular and use it as my pricebook, but I really don’t have the time for that. . . now. I don’t necessarily need to do the shopping. I can email Hubby my list and he can either check it on his phone or print it out and bring it with him!

I’m sure there’s more apps out there, but these are my major few. As I find more, I’ll share right here!
